My plans for the weekend fell through so I had a lot more painting time on my hands – I got my first Night Spinner completely finished!

Thanks! I’m hoping when the army is finished I will have a contender for some painting awards at my local tournaments – Unfortunately there are quite a few good painters in my area so I’m worried my efforts will be in vain.
At least it’s a fun army to play and it’s been a blast to paint – I’ve learned a lot of new techniques and every time I walk by my display cases I find myself pausing for a moment to stare, so worst case scenario it’s an army I’m proud of.

What red are you using for your army?

I use the following Vallejo paints:
      – Bermellon Red (029) as my main basecoat
      – Amaranta Red (130) for my highlights
      – Rojo Red (033) for my shading

How did you do those black lines so perfectly. Did you start off with a black primer and then tape over them while you painted the rest. Or did you do it towards the end?

I actually based them red and taped off the lines and then sprayed the black afterwards.
