Swarmlord painted

By tristanmitchell

It’s been a busy week so I haven’t gotten as much done as I was hoping – But I finally finished up my brother’s Swarmlord!
I especially like the visceral fluids in his mouth – Looks nice and slimy!

Hi, I really like this colour scheme – may I ask what paints did you use? Thank You

The model is primed white, then based in Death World Forest. Then I washed the model in Badab black.
From there I did three progressively lighter drybrush coats of grey. It wasn’t a pot paint – I just mixed it myself from black and white.
Then I painted all the carapace armor black.
The last finishing touch is Tamiya Color Red washed onto the mouth, which gives a nice glossy, gory appearance.

Honestly it’s really quite quick and easy.

How did you get that sheen on the black? Did you mix ardcoat and black?

Actually I just brush on a layer of pure ardcoat.
